The burden of potential can sometimes feel like an immense weight to carry.

are you struggling to live to your potential?
are you struggling to live to your potential?

For most of my youth and adult life i was told to fulfill my potential. I came from a family of four children, and talented parents.

Only one of those children lived into their potential.

That was not me.

Yes I had achieved much, but had a belief inside of me that limited my personal and professional growth and thus my income.

So a a late stage in life, I have become a person who not only is fullfilling my "potential" but exceeding it.

How does that happen.

Knowledge, and the application of that knowledge has been the catalyst.

Knowing that you have untapped abilities and opportunities can create pressure and self-doubt.

You may wonder if you'll ever live up to your own or others' expectations, and the fear of failure can be paralysing.

Yet, within that same potential lies the gift of possibility.

It represents hope, growth, and the chance to create a future that aligns with your dreams and desires.

Possibility is the canvas upon which you can paint your life, filled with choices and opportunities that are uniquely yours.

Navigating the tension between these two concepts involves embracing your potential while also being kind to yourself.

Here are a few reflections to consider:

Embrace the Journey.

Change is essential.

Understand that your path is not a straight line but a series of experiences, both successes and failures, that shape who you are.

Celebrate small victories and learn from setbacks.

 Focus on Growth.

Instead of fixating on achieving perfection, concentrate on continuous growth and improvement.

Each step forward, no matter how small, is a move towards realizing your potential.

Stay Curious and Open.( do not get the disease HOA (hardening of attitude)

The world is full of possibilities waiting to be explored.

Stay open to new experiences, ideas, and perspectives.

Curiosity can lead you to unexpected and rewarding paths.

Cultivate Resilience.

Building resilience helps you navigate the ups and downs of life. It allows you to bounce back from challenges and keep moving forward, even when the burden feels heavy.

 Find Joy in the Present.

While striving for your future goals, don't forget to find joy in the present moment. Gratitude for what you have now can provide balance and fulfillment.

Remember, your potential is not a burden but a beacon guiding you towards the life you can create.

Embrace it as a gift, and let the possibilities unfold.

Do you have any specific aspirations or dreams you're working towards?

The Journey of Becoming.

This is a truly fascinating subject because it tells the story of how we become who we are. We are the result of a journey from ‘behaviour to nature’ – a journey that begins with seemingly innocent and what may appear inconsequential actions and yet ends up creating patterns that become incredible forces of nature.
